Does dehydration affect your muscles?

Ask any athlete – dehydration has a real impact on muscle strength and stamina. Of course, you don’t need to be an athlete to experience it: lack of water makes everyone feel sluggish, slower and lacking in energy.

Dehydration can also be the cause of joint pain, it can prevent torn muscle fibers from healing, and also puts you at greater risk of muscular injury.

What happens to your muscles when you have a massage?

Aahhh…good things. Well, usually anyway. More specifically, massage helps to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid, which helps to increase circulation, flush out and reduce toxins from tissues.

What happens to toxins after a massage?

After a massage, those toxins are moving around in your body, having been released from the knots and tissues of your muscles. At this point, it is vital that the toxins are thoroughly flushed out of your system. If you don’t purge them, then the toxins will simply resettle and continue to impact your health and wellbeing.

Why should you always avoid coffee and soda after a massage?

Coffee and soda should be avoided after a massage. In the case of soda, try to avoid it altogether. Caffeine and virtually everything inside a soda can will re-toxify your body, right as your muscle fibers are at their most relaxed and receptive.

Why should you ALWAYS drink alkaline water after a massage?

Ionized alkaline water is the very best thing to drink after a massage. Why? Hydrogen-infused alkaline water from a Tyent water ionizer is filtered for purity and amazing taste. Tap water and bottled water are likely to contain contaminants and toxins of their own that will introduce new toxins to replace the ones you were hoping to get rid of.

Ionized alkaline water is super-hydrating, ultra-clean and rich with bio-available minerals and thousands of bubbles of molecular hydrogen in every glass. It’s the perfect follow-up to a massage and will leave you feeling relaxed, stronger and more energetic than before.

The Massage that Works for You!

Do you love a good massage? Do you enjoy a soothing, aromatic treatment, complete with essential oils, whale music and preferably a nap after (or during!) the session? Maybe you prefer a stimulating, deep-tissue, full lymphatic-drainage-type approach, that leaves you feeling like a newer, stronger you? Let us know which one works for you – just remember to take along plenty of Tyent alkaline water!

    1. Hi, Billy. While energy drinks are marketed as healthy and are typically consumed during exercise, we don’t recommend them because they’re full of sugars and artificial ingredients that are ultimately not good for your health. These drinks cause a temporary spike in your system that will lead to a draining crash later on. When you drink them regularly, they also negatively affect your dental health and make you prone to addiction to sugary caffeinated drinks. Check out this informative article for more info on the side effects of energy drinks.

It’s much better to drink ionized alkaline water because it’s free of sugars and rich in minerals and antioxidants that help your body recover quicker after exercise.

We’d be happy to answer your questions about energy drinks and our ionizers. If you’re interested, reach out to us at 855-893-6887!

  1. I got my ionizer yesterday and have had a few glasses of level 1 since then. I would like to know if there is a way to check how many antioxidants are in the water?

    1. Hi, Jonathan. Thank you for trusting Tyent to give you healthier water!

Yes, you can measure the presence of hydrogen and antioxidants in ionized water using the negative oxygen reduction potential (-ORP). The lower the level, the richer the water is with antioxidants. At Tyent, our water has the optimal -ORP levels, indicating the presence of molecular hydrogen. We use a hydrogen meter to measure hydrogen, too. Our 13- and 11-plate models make up to 1.2 ppm of molecular hydrogen, while our Hybrid makes molecular hydrogen up to 1.5 ppm.
